Health impact assessment
Health Impact Assessment and Health Risk Assessment are processes that identify type and a degree of a hazard represented by defined physical, chemical, or biological factors.
Furthermore, these processes identify to what extent selected population groups have been, are or may be exposed by these factors and determine the nature of existing or potential risks arising from them.
Health Impact Assessment (HIA)
Impact assessment of chemical substances and noise in the environment on public health is an integral part of the EIA (EIA, SEA) reports or zoning and construction proceedings.
The basic input documents for Health Impact Assessment are noise or dispersion studies. The addition of other specific reports depends on the nature of the project.
Health Impact Assessment is carried out by a person holding a Certificate of Professional Competence for Public Health Impact Assessment.
Health Risk Assessment (HRA)
Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is mainly carried out as a part of Risk Analysis of contaminated land as well as other decision-making processes, especially in the area of preventive measures.
Health Risk Assessment is carried out by a person holding an Authorization for Public Health Risk Assessment.
